MILLVILLE, NJ - Italian driving ace Max Angelelli rallied in the closing laps of Sunday's GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series NJMP 250 at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville to give the No. 10 SunTrust Ford Dallara of Wayne Taylor Racing team its fourth podium finish of the season and opened up a little breathing room for the second spot in the Rolex Series championship with three races remaining.

MILLVILLE, NJ - Max Angelelli's love for airplanes and the fact he grew up longing to be a fighter pilot are well-known in GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series circles. Perhaps that explains why he's taken so incredibly well to the still relatively new road circuit at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, site of Sunday's Rolex Series NJMP 250. It sits on property surrounded by Millville Airport, which once was home to one of the U.S. Air Force's top fighter pilot training facilities.

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The defending race-winners had little chance to defend their title in Saturday's Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway as pole-winner Ricky Taylor got spun off the track from behind in the early going and veteran Max Angelelli could salvage only a ninth-place finish in the No. 10 SunTrust Ford Dallara of Wayne Taylor Racing.

Four times in the last two GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series races, Angelelli and co-driver Ricky Taylor's No. 10 SunTrust Ford Dallara of Wayne Taylor Racing beat Pruett and his co-driver Memo Rojas' No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates BMW Riley out of the pits thanks to stellar work by the SunTrust pit crew in the heat of battle. But the passionate Italian racing veteran and former Rolex Series champion hasn't been able to post a win to show for it in either event as the No. 01 came back to score its fourth and fifth victories of the season.
